PRE-ORDERS
Pre-ordering in K-pop is a common practice where you can order an album or merchandise before its official release date. By pre-ordering, you can secure your copy and, often, take advantages of exclusive pre-orders benefits such as exclusive photocards, posters, or other special items. Typically, pre-orders are available for a limited time.
Pre-ordering also support your favorite artists as they help determine the initial demand for an album or merchandise and can influence the success of a comeback or release. This is because pre-orders are typically counted towards an album's first-week sales, which can impact chart rankings and overall sales figures.
