Ahyeon will not debut with BabyMonster due to health reasons

On November 15, YG Entertainment confirmed that Ahyeon will not be able to debut with BabyMonster due to health reasons.

The group is currently scheduled to debut on November 27 with six members: Ruka, Asa, Pharita, Haram, Rora, and Chiquita.

This marks YG's first girl group debut since Blackpink (2016) and first group in 3 years since Treasure. Originally slated for September, the agency chose to postpone the debut to meticulously select the group's title.

While the agency stated that Ahyeon might join the group later, she won't be able to participate in their initial debut.

“Ahyeon has decided to take some time to rest due to health issues. We feel sad to not be able to show Ahyeon as BabyMonster but we promise to provide her with all resources so that she may return in her best condition”

YG Entertainment will release further details when the time comes.
