Stray Kids announce that all members have renewed their contract with JYP

On July 18, JYP Entertainment announced that all eight members of Stray Kids have officially renewed their contracts with the company. 

“All group members have completed renewing their contracts before the expiration of the exclusive contracts next year. 

Stray Kids’ unrivaled power in the global music market and JYP’s guidance and planning enabled them to renew the contract due to their trust and vision for the future.” -  JYP 

At the press conference for their new album “ATE”, the members were asked how they made up their minds and what their goals for the future are. Bang Chan answered, “We were able to make this decision thanks to Stay (Stray Kids fans) and our staff at the agency who've been like family to us. We imagined being together and thought we could grow together. As the leader of the team, I was thankful because we all agreed with one heart.” 

Lee Know added that the group would like to try new genres, as they did with this comeback. 

The group was also asked about the meaning behind “ATE,” to which the leader explained that it simply means they totally rocked the stage. Changbin added by revealing the meaning behind the lyrics 'You've eaten too much victory, but aren't you hungry for more?': “In the lyrics, we said we were full, but we are really hungry. And that makes us go on. The part we feel most hungry about is that we attended a festival recently, and we were so happy, but with that happiness, we feel like we can get more of it. “  

The group ended the conference by saying, “Our latest world tour, 'dominATE,' is coming up. We will 'eat up' the stage, so we expect a lot of cheers and love from you.”
