Who are NEXZ, the new boy group from JYP?

Recently, JYP Entertainment announced the debut of their new boy group, NEXZ. Their debut will be happening on May 20th with their single album, “Ride the Vibe”.

NEXZ is composed of 7 Japanese members: Seita, Yu, Tomoya, Yuki, Hyui, So Geon, and Haru. The group was formed through the audition program “NIZI project 2 “, a collaboration between JYP and Sony Music.

The group’s name stands for “New Generation”. Park Jinyoung, founder of JYP, chose this name with the meaning that the members will be responsible for the new generation and open a new era with their music and performances.

Back in December 2023, the group revealed their pre-debut song 'Miracle' in Japanese and Korean.

Two days ago, the teaser for 'Ride the Vibe' was unveiled, revealing some quotes associated with a member: 'How to eat', 'How to move the body', 'How to be like kids', 'How to get hooked on', 'How to love', 'How to clean', and 'How to sleep deep'. The teaser then ends with the quote “How to ride the vibe”.

In the 1st season of NIZI Project, the girl group NiziU was formed. The group debuted in 2020 and is composed of 9 Japanese members. In October 2023, the group released their first Korean single 'Press Play'.
