Jin completes the torch relay in Paris and shows support for the Korean team

On July 14, Jin completed his role as a torchbearer in Paris. He passed the torch to Sandra Laoura, a former French national freestyle skiing athlete, in front of the Louvre. 

He thanked the Army who were present and cheered for him, as their support helped him relax despite feeling nervous. He expressed his support for the Korean team, adding, "I hope that all the Korean national team athletes who participate in the Olympics will achieve great results in exchange for their efforts, and I will support them with all my heart. I hope that much interest will be given until the 17th Paris Paralympic Games as well, which will be held this August. I will also put in more effort and work to impress in the future." 

Jin is the first K-pop idol to be chosen as a torchbearer for the Olympic Games, making history. 

The BTS member was recently discharged from military service on June 12 and is expected to focus on his solo activities in the coming months.
