StayC's Yoon shares her regret regarding her stage name

In a recent live show, Yoon (member of StayC) revealed that she regretted debuting with her stage name “Yoon” instead of her real name Shim Ja Yoon.  

Her stage name was selected by her company, High Up Entertainment, and Yoon agreed at the time, as it complemented the chic image the company aimed to project. As Shim Ja Yoon has grown older, she finds herself wondering whether she should have debuted using her actual name. 

Fans swiftly reacted, expressing their opinions that her real name, 'JaYoon,' is more unique. They mentioned that a mere statement from High Up Entertainment could facilitate the name change if it aligns with her desires.  

This isn't the first time an idol has expressed regret over their stage name and desired a change. Previously, RM from BTS transitioned from 'Rap Monster' to 'RM.' Similarly, Yubin from Oh My Girl changed from 'Binnie' to 'Yubin' after revealing that it took three years of convincing her label to make the change. 

Several fans have already voiced their opinions on the idol's stage name, suggesting that allowing them to personally choose their debut name might be a better idea.
