Kiss of Life released the music video for “Bad News”

The Korean girl group under S2 Entertainement, made their debut in July of this year with their mini album “Kiss of Life”. The group is composed of 4 members: Julie Han, Natty, Belle and Haneul.  

On November 8, the group released their second album titled 'Born to be XX,' featuring seven songs, including the title track 'Bad News.  

The music video not only features stunning animation but also highlights a powerful representation of girl empowerment. In the MV, viewers can also observe various real-life situations, including instances of bullying and sexual harassment. 

During a press conference Belle explained the meaning of the two XX, “The two Xs in the title of the album signify two different concepts: special things that are not welcomed by others and our message to reject prejudice, misunderstandings and stereotypes” 

Born to be XX' offers a diverse range of music genres such as R&B and Hip Hop. The album includes a ballad track titled 'Says It (Says It)” dedicated to the fans in which Belle took part in the songwriting process. 

The members also took part in the writing process for the other songs. Julie was involved in the songwriting of “Nobody Knows” while Belle and Natty were involved in “My 808”. 

Belle, who initially worked as a producer before her debut with Kiss of Life, explained, “Kiss of Life is a group that really pursues the idea of members producing their own songs. All our members have an outstanding understanding of music, and we all have strong preferences, so producing our own songs is more or less approachable for us, and this album is no exception: We’ve tried hard to maximize each member’s involvement in the album.”
