Red Velvet's new album “Chill Kill” showcases both the Red and Velvet side of the group

Red velvet just released the MV for “Chill Kill” and had an accompanying press conference to talk about the meaning of their brand new studio album. 

Joy explained that the term “Chill kill” refers to a situation or person that ‘disrupts the silence’ and changes the course of ones life. The lyrics of the song are about not having and missing this “chill kill”, as well as having hope to find it. Through these two themes, the song presents a duality to engage the listener. 

During the press conference, Joy shared insights into the music video, revealing that it tells the story of five sisters facing a tragedy and depicts their journey to overcome the challenges they encounter.  

Comprising ten songs that span themes of tragedy and hope, the album reflects the group's artistic range. Seulgi explained, "We aim to showcase our growth and unique style to fans, which we have undergone by exploring our past and present throughout the album's creation." 

To connect with their fans, Red Velvet has planned a range of activities, including appearances on radio and TV shows, as well as fan sign events.
